Burrishoole Community Partnership was setup in 2014 for the specific purpose of delivering and operating the Burrishoole Community Centree
Construction of the Community Centre.
Phase 1 of the community center was started in autumn 2020 and will be completed in 2023.
Phase 1 comprises of a large hall which will be used for multiple purposes such as birthday parties, dancing, yoga and as an extension for the four local national schools for events such as P.E. classes, shows and plays.
Burrishoole Community Partnership CLG is a voluntary body composed of a group of representatives from local community organisations formed in 2014 to deliver new recreational and educational facilities to the Burrishoole Community.
What has been done.
We started with a large fundraising drive. We received great support from the local Burrishoole Community, Newport & District Development Company, Town & Villages, Leader, Mayo County Councillor’s GMA,
Phase 1 started.
Phase 1 of the community center was started in autumn 2020 and will be completed in 2023.
Foundations of our new community centre were completed in 2021 and this included foundations for phase two of the project which we hope to complete in the future.
The steel frame and block work was completed in 2022.

The wooden floor and paint work on the main hall was completed in late 2022. We hope to have the centre open in summer of 2023.
